Frequently Asked Questions

Dogs under 20 lbs are permitted on our smaller boats. If your dog is up to 40 lbs they are only allowed on our Pontoon boats. Please brush them before to reduce shedding and to avoid extra cleaning fees. Please keep dogs off the seats, as boat vinyl is very expensive to replace. We are happy to make special exceptions for aid dogs as well.

Upon arriving to pick up your boat, you’ll need to present a Valid Driver’s License with photo ID proving you are 21 years of age, a working cellphone, a major credit card, and a completed agreement and waiver.

There is a $2000 Damage deposit required for each boat.

If you don’t have a boat license, we will perform a walk-around safety briefing of the boat with you and familiarize you with its controls before you leave the boat launch. In addition, we will teach you how to operate the the boat safely and what to do in the event of an emergency.

Once we have completed the walk-around, we will provide you with a temporary license that serves as proof of your ability/competency to operate the boat. We ask that you please review the checklists before hand and be prepared with any questions.

We ask that you please arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking to ensure you have time to complete the necessary paperwork and safety briefing. If you are late upon departure or arrival there is a $50 per 1/4 hour late fee.

This is in order to keep all bookings running on time.

The boat will be in the water at the selected boat launch with our Kickin Back crew member ready for you at the location.

No. Smoking, drinking or cannabis use are not permitted on our boats. The same rules regarding drinking and driving on the road apply to being on the water as well. If we feel a person is already under the influence of alcohol or narcotics at the time of arrival we will use our discretion and refuse service.

At this time, we do not provide captain services on our boats.

There are no restrooms on our boats but you can find some on the lake. Check out this map for restroom locations

If in a scenario where the weather does not permit safe boating conditions such as thunder storms or if mechanical issues arise before your rental then you will receive a full refund. Please note that we do not allow cancellations due to overcast weather or slightly unfavorable conditions.

Single and Half day rentals
100% refund of the deposit with over 72 hours notice (-$25 Cancellation fee)
NO refund of the deposit with less than 72 hours notice
NO refund within 24 hours of rental and the provided credit card will be charged for the full duration of the rental period that was booked.

Multi day rentals
100% refund of the deposit with over 2 weeks notice (-$25 Cancellation Fee)
NO refund of the deposit with less than 2 weeks notice
NO refund under 1 weeks notice of the rental and the provided credit card will be charged for 1 full day of the rental period that was booked.

Please note there is a $25 cancellation fee at the time of cancellation.

Safety briefings and instructions are provided prior to your departure, we will also provide you with emergency phone numbers.

We do our best to accommodate customer requests within reason. The flexibility in your rental time depends on the reservations before/after yours. Let us know what your preference is and if we can accommodate it, we will.

We offer a minimum 4 hour rental

Yes, all of our boats are provided with life jackets and all safety equipment required by Transport Canada.
